Gimbal Calibration

  • Corrects for the really critical guys the small gimbal inaccuracies on the endpoints of the gimbal movements.

I have created four mix scripts to correct the horizontal gimbal deflections. You will need only 2 of them, depending on your radio mode (1, 2, 3 or 4).

Put them in the /SCRIPTS/MIXES/ directory, and select the two corresponding to your gimbal functions in the customscripts page as a custom script. Calibrate your gimbals in the regular way (so touch ALL corners). Now, note the missing percentages for the following six extreme horizontal gimbal positions.

Use them to set the values in the inputs page of the CustomScripts you have installed, but multiplied by ten (was neccesary to get enough resolution). Now you have two custom lua 'inputs' that you can use to replace the normal inputs. If you use just the replace function on the mix line, and put the new lua mix values as last values, even in case the scripts would crash, you would still have the uncalibrated stick results.
